Welcome to Life with Evie & Esko! We are a husband-and-wife team sharing our adventures as we explore life on mobility scooters. Our goal is to celebrate accessible living and show that there’s still plenty of joy, humor, and discovery to be found when you roll through life at your own pace.
Our Story
Esko is from Finland, and Evie is from Texas. We met on a pen pal site eleven years ago, and what started as simple conversation quickly turned into something special. After six years (and many emails), we decided to get married — a journey that included a long immigration process, the pandemic, and even a stroke. Now retired and finally living together in Central Texas, we’re embracing a new chapter — exploring new places, meeting new people, and sharing what we learn about accessibility along the way.
Our Mission
We believe adventure should be for everyone. Whether it’s a park, a market, or a hidden local gem, we’re setting out to see what’s accessible — and what still needs work. Our hope is to encourage others with mobility challenges to get out, explore, and make their own memories while also raising awareness about accessibility in everyday places.
